PAINT Wolfeboro – DATE change to Sept. 13

Artists are encouraged to register for PAINT Wolfeboro, an exciting plein air painting event in Wolfeboro on September 6. The event provides artists with the opportunity to enjoy a day of painting in this scenic town on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. They can set up downtown, along the lakeshore, or on one of Wolfeboro’s scenic walking trails.

Visitors can watch works of art being created and can purchase pieces either during the day or from 2 to 3 p.m. in Cate Park. During the sale, visits can enjoy refreshments and entertainment.

Artist registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with painting underway until 3 p.m. Participants then make their way to the bandstand in Cate Park for the sale.

Painters pay a $15 registration fee and receive a T-shirt, coffee and pastries in the morning, and water throughout the day. In addition, runners will be available to provide work-site coverage for artist breaks.

Artists will set the sales prices for their artwork, and all work will be sold via a direct sale in Cate Park, not through a silent auction. Artists will keep 60% of the sale price and Governor Wentworth Arts Council will receive 40%. GWAC uses its share of the proceeds to fund arts programming in local schools and libraries.

For a registration form visit the PAINT Wolfeboro tab under Exhibits & Events.
