The Governor Wentworth Arts Council of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, is a non-profit volunteer organization whose purpose is to enrich the cultural environment in schools and the surrounding community, to stimulate interest in the arts, and to assist local artists and craftspeople.
The organization runs a number of events and activities during the year, including the Art Walk, PAINT Wolfeboro, TABLESCAPES and various arts exhibits.
It supports the growth of the arts in the community through efforts such as Art in the Schools and Libraries, and the Priscilla Hodges Scholarship.
Membership dues are $25 per year per household. The group generally meets once a month in the Wolfeboro area. As benefits for belonging to the Governor Wentworth Arts Council, members receive a quarterly e-newsletter, monthly email updates, advance notice of events and activities, the opportunity to participate in area exhibits, and the knowledge that they’re supporting the growth of the arts in the community and the schools.
