Alton resident Duane Hammond has created more than 135 portraits in his Pigs ina Poke collection. Hammond’s porcine portraits depict pigs engaged in human-like activities, real-life situations and occupations. His pig parodies are found in galleries and shops nationwide. Hammond’s unique art is available as acrylic paintings on canvas, limited edition giclee prints on paper, open edition giclee prints, note cards, mugs and magnets.
Hammond is also the creator of two Pigs ina Poke books; the most recent was released in 2011. The first volume was nominated for an independent Book Publishers book of the year award in the humor category.
