I am always looking and analyzing, breaking down the visual world into shapes and patterns, colors and values, and then imagining how I might paint what I see. It is constant. I love to watch the water’s rhythm and the ever-changing light and then translate that onto canvas. Watching the sunrise and sunset, the mountains and the sky’s ever-changing colors are a constant source of inspiration. When I find inspiration, I am ready to translate and create by recording on canvas a snapshot of what I have seen, felt, and that which is often overlooked.
