Wolfeboro artist Pamela Grady started drawing as a toddler at the side of her mother, an accomplished portrait artist. Currently, Grady is working on figures and portrait studies in pastel. She says that pastel allows her to experiment with color and texture achieved through layering chalk and spraying until she achieves her goal. Grady admits to often stopping people on the street, posing them and taking digital pictures to capture the moment. She can then create a portrait at her leisure!
Grady, who spent 26 years living on Cape Ann in Massachusetts, has studied with many fine artists in the area. A juried artist member of both the Rockport and North Shore Art Associations, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art.
